Now how often is it that a politician doesn’t get around to supporting something, in this case supporting the rights of gun owners, that they truly believe in? It’s not like Arkansas Democrat A.G. Dustin McDaniel needed prodding from any local Republicans to get his own piece of free media from supporting gun rights. One would think that Montana Republican A.G. candidate Tim Fox calling McGrath out on the issue made the Democrat realize that his political future depended on his coming out and down on the right side of this issue.

McGrath’s promise came in response to a press release issued by Republican attorney general candidate Tim Fox, of Helena.Lynn Solomon, a McGrath spokeswoman, said the attorney general never intended to avoid the issue, but the U.S. Supreme Court only recently announced it would hear the case and McGrath has not yet had time to file Montana’s argument.
