By linking seven massive state databases — such as campaign-finance reports and registered not-for-profit agencies — the public can better view how state government operates, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said.For instance, the public can enter legislators’ names and review bills they are sponsoring, who has contributed to their election campaigns and to what agencies they have allocated targeted state aid, called member items.
