Here’s a pretty good recap of the Wisconsin Republican Primary
contest for the AG nomination between Waukesha County D.A. Paul Bucher and former U.S.
Attorney J.B. Van Hollen.
On the
campaign trail, Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher still looks very
much the career prosecutor, often showing up at press conferences and debates a
little rumpled and lugging a sheaf of papers.
Former
U.S. Attorney J.B. Van Hollen, by contrast, bears a striking resemblance to
conservative talk show host Sean Hannity: tall, telegenic and usually sporting
an American flag pin on his lapel.
This
fall's Republican primary for attorney general will likely be recorded as a
contest of styles, including the low moment when “you suck” entered
Wisconsin's political lexicon.
