The Attorney General’s Office said the violations each could have resulted in penalties of $10,000 per day. But DEQ Director Steve Owens said in a prepared statement that these are not just technical issues.
“Rinker Materials’ failure to comply with the law put its workers and the citizens of Arizona at risk,” he said. “These were serious violations.”
