Word has it from the field that Virginia State Senator Ken Cuccinelli‘s victory by 92 votes is upheld in the 37th District. Even though the previous canvas of the election votes verified the results, Janet O wanted to waste the taxpayer’s dollars with a recount. Well, she wasted them and the results remain – Cuccinelli in the win column!

Isn’t the waste of taxpayer money the first time the votes were counted inaccurately? It shows we are doing something wrong if we can’t count the votes correctly the first time through. If counting was accurate the first time through, and recounts showed no mistakes (or mistakes of 1-2 votes) candidates would be reluctant to request them. But we aren’t able to guarantee that we actually got the vote totals right.
