Wowzers – things are really looking bad for Pennsylvania legislative Democrats. Without even a close look, the State Attorney General, Tom Corbett, is investigating legislators using taxpayer funds to support political campaigning, and a Democrat State Senator is not seeking re-election as a result of a probe of ties to two non-profits. What’s the other shoe going to be for these Pennsylvania Democrats?
HARRISBURG — Already busy defending himself against public corruption charges, former Ellwood City state Rep. Frank LaGrotta will have to contend with a civil suit stemming from his actions in the sale of Lawrence County’s Hill View Manor nursing home.On Wednesday, a state appeals court rejected LaGrotta’s request to dismiss the civil lawsuit filed against him in July 2005 by Sylvan Heights Realty Partners and Americare Management Services Inc.
