WHEATON, Ill. — Eight northern Illinois counties are suing the state over the special election called to fill the seat vacated by former House Speaker Dennis Hastert.County election officials in the 14th congressional district are seeking more time between the February Fifth primary and March Eighth special election set by Governor Rod Blagojevich.
