PIERRE – Republicans and Democrats are expressing open-government concerns about a bill removing birth dates from voter registration lists.The bill, proposed by the State Board of Elections, would include birth dates among information that must be withheld from master voter registration lists available from county auditors and Secretary of State Chris Nelson’s office.
It is aimed at preventing identity theft, Nelson says.
