It’s a great idea hatched by Republican Attorney General Steve Carter. Parents across Indiana we’re sure hope and pray Carter’s bill gets passed. And what a contrast Republican A.G. Steve Carter is with state and local Democrats in North Carolina and Colorado on this same issue. Democrat dominated legislatures in those two states opposed a measure such as this. Lets hope for the children’s sake the Democrats in the Indiana House and Senate don’t play from the same national Democrat play book on this one
SOUTH BEND — Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter announced Saturday that he will seek the passage of a new law that would ban convicted sex offenders from using online networking sites, chat rooms or instant message programs in which minors participate.”The Internet is a powerful communication tool that is being exploited by convicted sex offenders who have found cyberspace a convenient avenue for hiding their identity from young people,” Carter said.
