JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (AP) — Democratic Attorney General Jay Nixon is calling for stricter limits on campaign contributions by political parties.
Political party committees can give candidates 20 times as much as individuals and other donors.
Nixon wants to limit party contributions to the same amount as everyone else. That’s $1,275 per election for candidates in
statewide races.
