When the Iowa Legislature convenes for the 2008 session next week, middle class Iowans need to keep 2 numbers on the minds of state legislators – $1 billion and $500 million. In 2007 Iowa state government increased spending $1 billion under Democrat legislative and Gubernatorial leadership. That’s out of whack. What’s worse, over the next 5 years Iowa homeowners and farmers are looking at tax increases totaling around $500 million in the next five years. Giddy on up! Learn more after the jump.
