Borrowing a play from Team Huckabee (and boy are we paraphrasing here) – don’t hate people in front of you – love the ones behind you, and that governing is about the people – not just the politicians.
Despite predictions of a lackluster legislative session, Missouri’s Senate leader urged colleagues Wednesday to work together to improve the lives of Missourians. On the opening day of the session, Senate President Pro Tem Michael Gibbons’ told his colleagues: “Political pundits say nothing much will happen here this year. We owe it to the people of Missouri to prove (the pundits) wrong.”
Gibbons, R-Kirkwood, cannot run for re-election because of term limits, and currently is the only announced Republican candidate for attorney general.
