WA: House Bill Would Require Taped Meetings

A proposal to keep taped records of closed-door executive sessions is under review by the state House government and tribal affairs committee.Closed-door executive sessions are held every week by Thurston County Commissioners and scores of government agencies across the state.Neither the public nor the media has access to what goes on in the meetings, and there is no taped record.

That needs to change, say supporters of House Bill 3292.
