State Rep. Greg Macpherson said Wednesday he would be a doer if elected attorney general, but would have a higher profile than the incumbent who has endorsed him.
In a Salem appearance, Macpherson drew a contrast between his record in three terms in the Oregon House and the stances of his Democratic primary opponent, John Kroger, who has called for a more aggressive approach in the mold of New York’s Eliot Spitzer, now that state’s governor.
“Some people like to draw attention to themselves and some people like to get things done,” Macpherson said at a Marion County DemoForum luncheon.
