(3/6/08) Sen. Eric Johnson’s latest voucher bill, approved Wednesday in the Senate, took an unusual turn in the House on Thursday when Speaker Glenn Richardson assigned it to the House Science and Technology Committee.
Ordinarily, when a high-profile author’s bill is assigned to a committee that doesn’t ordinarily deal with that topic, it’s a sign that mischief is afoot. Not so here, House sources said.
