Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says if a public official has e-mails on a home computer about public business, it’s an open record.
Stenehjem’s opinion comes in response to a Bismarck attorney’s request for e-mail messages from North Dakota’s workers compensation agency.
Chad Nodland asked for e-mails between former Workforce Safety and Insurance internal auditor Kay Grinsteinner (GRIN’-sty-nur) and former WSI board member Evan Mandigo (MAN’-dig-oh).
