Enough already…This has got to be some kind of record

With 7th Term On The Horizon, Miller Has No Plans To Slow Down

The Associated Press

November 18, 2006

DES MOINES, Iowa Iowa's attorney general says he has not plans to slow down.

Tom Miller says he enjoys his job, even after serving as Iowa's top lawyer for the better part of four decades.

The 62-year-old admits he has flirted with other jobs through the years, including a failed bid for governor in 1990. Miller says when he was younger he also had ambitions of running for Congress.

He says he is thankful he never pursued that career. Instead, Miller is looking forward to a seventh term as attorney general.

He won the term after running unopposed in this month's election.

Miller won't say whether it will be his last term in office. Four years from now he will be 66 — certainly old enough to retire — but Miller sees plenty of work left for him to do.
