WHEN STATE Rep. Laura Hall was challenged last year about records showing she was casting votes in the Legislature on the same days she was supposed to be working or taking sick time from her job at a community college, she offered a curious explanation.
She probably wasn’t in Montgomery on the days in question.
Someone else in the House must have voted for her, she said. “That’s not an unusual thing for someone to not be there (in the House) and a vote is cast in their name,” Rep. Hall said.
