He marched into Columbus on the horse of ethical behavior, reform and open government, cashing in on Republican scandals that now pale in comparison to his own.One misstep after another mark the 16-month tenure of Democratic Attorney General Marc Dann, eroding public trust so far that many wonder if his horse can survive.
The latest and most troubling problem is the accusation of sexual harassment of two employees by one of Dann’s top administrators, Anthony Gutierrez.
Dann isn’t named, but his actions related to the complaints and how they have been handled raise questions about his professional judgment.Gutierrez, and the office’s spokesman, Leo Jennings, two friends he hired, shared a Dublin condo with their boss until late 2007.
