WA AG: Jim or John?

We brought you the actual polling results on this contest earlier, and now this.  From the Tacoma News Tribune:

Here’s evidence that Pierce County Executive John Ladenburg, who kicked off his campaign for state attorney general Monday, has some work to do in upping his name recognition outside the South Sound.

UPDATE: The Seattle Times has now corrected the mistake.

And here’s the only evidence of John Ladenburg’s first bad press day of many.

Jim Ladenburg

First bad press day of many?

John has been elected 7.5 years as executive of pierce county, 14 years as Prosecuting Attorney and ran his own practice for over a decade.

John has proven results while Rob McKenna talks a lot about the ID theft and consumer fraud. We are the second worst state for consumer fraud. We are the ninth worst for ID theft.

I think the press is going to pick up on this race and realize that Rob McKenna is out of touch with Washington voters and John Ladenburg will offer much needed change for the AG office.

I think the press days will only get better for Mr. Ladenburg.

Sweet rapid response from Team Ladenburg. How’s that fundraising going out there?

Mr. Klein… please check your math. When Mr. McKenna took over WA was reported as 7th in the nation for ID Fraud. The last reporting I heard we we’re now 13th. Either all reporting agencies I’ve seen are wrong or maybe Mr. L needs to rewrite his campaign to provide some factual numbers.
I hope if the state does pick up on anything it’s how out of touch, out of date and out of recant history of doing any good for voters John L. has been since he became Exec.
I think that’s why he’s only promoting what he once did as Prosecutor, ’cause as Exec. all he has done is trampled on resident rights. Wasn’t it McKenna who had to correct one of John L’s recent arrogant examples over the Miller property and Sound Transit? Didn’t McKenna make it mandatory to now notify homeowners directly by mail when their property was under a land grab attack? If I remember, John L. felt that the property owners didn’t really have that right and should have been satisfied with a blurb in a minimally read paper as adequate notification.
Hasn’t John L been holding the reigns here while the Lower Puyallup levee neglect has reached the point of FEMA decertification- placing thousands of property now in flood zones at the cost and risk to tax payers? Didn’t he sign a discriminatory and biased regulations into place ( again with negligble resident notification) that are restrictive to only unincorporated residents – making them second class home/property owners here and fails to demand the departments under him provide factual science to support this unequity in factual public safety for all PC residents? Funny how much of the unincorporated land affected by this and the levee are close to the Port.
Isn’t this the same John L who’s documentation of his transfered remaining funds from his last campaign were not quite as clear as should be? And he forgot to disclose his financial interest in the Promenta drug stock? Etc, etc, etc.
Yeah- this is a REAL champion of the little guy…….may run #2 be as unsuccessful as his first attempt. The only real name John L has made since his Prosecutor days is MUD especially since he runs away at local meetings before facing residents he’s shafted. Yeah… a real leader here!
