Attorney General Bob McDonnell will request a full hearing before a federal appeals court on a state law banning a form of late-term abortion.
Last week, a panel ruled that the state’s ban on partial-birth abortions unconstitutional.
The decision came despite a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court that upheld a similar federal ban.
