From nwi.com:
Jon Costas invited fellow Republicans to hear his six-string stylings Sunday night, but the roles reverse this afternoon, with the Valparaiso mayor looking on as 2,086 GOP faithful pick the party’s nominee for attorney general.
Costas and The ConservaDellics bringing their “cautiously weird” sound to the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis doesn’t quite measure up to Dave Matthews packing Assembly Hall in April on behalf of Barack Obama. But, decibels aside, the free show helps illustrate the last-minute wooing on display in the GOP contest for attorney general — the only gig up for grabs at today’s Republican State Convention.
The state party’s delegates will cast secret ballots to decide between Costas, who is Valparaiso’s sitting mayor, and Greg Zoeller, who has served as chief deputy to Attorney General Steve Carter since 2001. Zoeller invited delegates to a competing reception Sunday night at Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery in downtown Indianapolis.
