The primary for both Republicans and Democrats is June 3rd. From Bozeman Daily Chronicle:
Two Republicans, Butte attorney Lee Bruner and Helena attorney Tim Fox, are jockeying for their party’s nomination for state attorney general n both saying they will be more proactive than current Democratic Attorney General Mike McGrath in protecting Montana’s families and personal liberties.
Whichever is nominated will seek to be the first Republican attorney general elected in Montana since Marc Racicot was re-elected to the post in 1988.
Bruner, a sixth-generation Montanan, said as attorney general he would be more aggressive about fighting national legislation or precedent-setting court cases that could curtail Montanans’ rights.
