The Democrats only hope – hope is probably too strong of a word here – to unseat incumbent Attorney General Tom Corbett ultimately rests with this man – 4-time statewide wannabe John Morganelli. And Mr. Morganelli’s hopes at a successful campaign rests with this man:

Political consultant Tom Severson, who it turns out is exactly the person you DON’T want running your campaign to be the chief law enforcement officer. If you recall, we covered Mr. Severson’s issues before the law, and his good friend John Morganelli’s take that Mr. Severson hadn’t done anything to break the law. Well, now a statewide grand jury is examining Mr. Severson’s activities – what do they know, right?

It’s come to light that Mr. Severson is being investigated for threatening local city councilman Ron Angle at the funeral of a friend, with a switch blade! Think it’s nuts? So do we.

From the Allentown Morning Call:

Angle testified this morning at a preliminary hearing that he feared for his life and slipped out at side door of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church toward the end of the funeral and ran for his pickup truck after Severson repeatedly gave him a “crazy look,” and said “I’m going to kill you,” while at one point flashing what looked like a switchblade in his pocket. He said Severson also told him he was “going to get him in the parking lot.”
