Democrat Primary AG Campaign Musical Gets Another Ad

State Rep. Jeff Harris, D-Columbia, is continuing to attack Sen. Chris Koster, D-Harrisonville, on the Internet. And his campaign’s latest salvo uses a popular Beatles song to needle the first-term senator’s former party affiliation.

The Web cartoon – which can be seen by clicking here – is a Jib-Jabbish slam on Koster’s past backing of several notable Republican officeholders. Before he switched parties last year, Koster stumped for then-Sen. John Ashcroft’s 2000 re-election bid. As a Republican, he also supported Gov. Matt Blunt and President George W. Bush as well.

That past support is highlighted to the tune of “With a Little Help From My Friends” by the Beatles. And indeed, some of the cartoon versions of the pols sing off-key.
