From nwi.com:
After weeks of spirited battle to win the Republican nomination for Indiana attorney general, Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas and Chief Deputy Attorney General Greg Zoeller are joining forces.
Zoeller, who won the nomination last month, announced Thursday that Costas will serve as chairman of his general election campaign. The announcement was made on the front steps of Valparaiso City Hall.
“(Costas) will not simply be a name on a letterhead,” Zoeller said.
“I believe Jon will take an active participation and be the same kind of trusted adviser that has served Valparaiso so well. He will provide a wealth of campaign support and experience, and I am honored to have him on the team.”
Costas said he was pleased to receive the phone call from Zoeller requesting his service, and that he was ready to go a step further than the usual endorsement and actively join Zoeller’s team to make his campaign a success.
