Connecticut’s Democrat Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is
miffed that New York State permits non-residents, say of Connecticut, to
place internet bets on horse races in New York. See, internet gambling
is illegal in Connecticut, but Connecticut still allows its residents to wager
in person, or via telephone (oh the horror!) on horse races. Ah – the
difference is clear.
Blumenthal also indicated that Connecticut residents should also steer
clear of breaking Connecticut’s posted speed limits, liquor laws, and
sales tax requirements when visiting other parts of the country.
Thank goodness Dick Blumenthal is there to keep all the noses and
bottoms wiped in Connecticut.
