Hey – it’s legal, low fat, and won’t cause blindness – no wonder this guy is winning elections. From the News Observer:
State House candidate Stan Morse, who won in the May primary despite endorsing his opponent, is once again raising eyebrows, this time with an unconventional tactic for drawing attention.
Morse, a Democrat challenging Republican incumbent Rep. Marilyn Avila in north Wake’s District 40, has launched an ad campaign built around an unusual raffle. It will pay a potential voter a $1,000 grand prize donated to a favorite church, school or charity.
The raffle also offers 50 smaller prizes, which Morse said will be geared toward promoting energy efficiency.
