From Sunday’s, May 13th, Biloxi Sun Herald:
Unseating an incumbent attorney
general in Mississippi is, historically, difficult, but it appears the Coast's
own Al Hopkins is going to at the least give Jim Hood a run for his money.

officially being in the race only 45 days, has raised nearly $330,000 in
campaign cash, compared with Hood's $178,000 over the same period. Hopkins, as

has $320,000 cash on hand, compared with Hood's $137,000.
Now it's still way early in the
campaign-finance game, and just because one candidate raises more money than
another doesn't mean he or she will win.
But often it does. And when the
margin is approaching 2 to 1, it is very rare indeed for the one with the least
to win….Read on here.
