It is hard to remember that Montana is a red state still – even
though only one statewide office holder is a Republican. The Montana
House was the only legislative chamber to flip from Democrat to Republican in
November ’06, so clearly Republicans are still in pretty good
shape. And that bodes well for newly minted Republican A.G. candidate
Independent Record, one more Republican candidate, Lee Bruner of Butte, at
least will announce in the coming days and weeks.
6/11/07 UPDATE: Lifetime Montana Resident, and Butte Lawyer, Republican Lee Bruner has just launched his campaign for Attorney General. You can learn more about his campaign by going to www.leeforag.com.
9/4/2007 UPDATE: FOX GAINS EARLY ENDORSEMENTS. Montana Attorney General candidate Tim Fox reports early endorsements from many prominent Montana Republican officials, including former Governors Marc Racicot, Judy Martz, and Tim Babcock, former Lt. Governor and outgoing Montana Republican Party Chairman Karl Ohs, former county prosecutor, state senator, and Montana Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Turnage who is Fox's campaign treasurer, and outgoing Montana Republican Party Vice-Chair, Karën Phaler. I am disturbed about the direction the US is going under the Obama leadership that I feel it necessary to become – again – involved in Republican volunteer work. My husband was once the Mesa Counry Republican chairman out of Grand Junction, Colorado and agrees with me that we should help out in anyway that we can. We are retired Montana residents but are “snowibrds” – we will be leaving St. George, UT around the middle of April to return to Bigfork, MT., where we live.
I would appreciate hearing from “someone” who may be able to give us some input as to how we can be of help to the party.
Sincerely,
Darlene Gardner

My husband was once the Mesa Counry Republican chairman out of Grand Junction, Colorado (during the 70’s and 80′) and was a personal friend of Hank Brown, representing Colorado as a congressman. Warren agrees with me that we should help out in anyway that we can.
