Nothing beats using a high profile case, and we’re talking stratospherically high here, to highlight your credentials to be re-elected as A.G. Though, upon reading the article below you’ll find that some take issue with the incumbent Democrat A.G.s characterizations in the spot. Republican A.G. candidate Bob Crumley will weigh on this one as well we’re sure. From The Chronicle:
A new television advertisement released Tuesday by Cooper’s campaign for a third term prominently highlights his dismissal of the charges as a testament to the attorney general’s leadership abilities. Cooper, a Democrat, is running against Asheboro lawyer Bob Crumley, a Republican, in the general election.
The 32-second spot features footage from the April press conference, in which Cooper said the lacrosse case was “the result of a tragic rush to accuse and a failure to verify serious allegations.”
