From Bozeman Daily Chronicle:
Fox’s plan also calls for Montana to create a “stand-alone” cyber-crime investigation office that would not rely on federal grant money. Fox could not say how much the new office would cost, but said he has been told an investigator would cost about $42,000 in wages and benefits.
Last week, Democratic candidate Steve Bullock released his own plan for dealing with sex predators in Montana, which calls for better enforcement of already existing sex predator laws.
“We don’t need new legislation,” Bullock said in a written release. “We do need to make sure that we convict sex offenders and that we effectively enforce the laws we already have on the books.”
