“By accepting the largest single political contribution in Missouri history, he has decided to side with the very Washington D.C. Republicans and big businesses who have dug us into the current economic mess,” Koster wrote. “They will do anything, including distorting my record and launching false personal attacks, to keep a prosecutor who will hold them accountable from winning the Attorney General’s Office.”
Koster, of course, raised eyebrows early on in the attorney general’s contest when he roped in gigantic contributions from stem cell advocates, casinos and a personal loan. Since winning the primary, Koster has received hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of contributions over previous campaign finance limits.
