Late Money in Oklahoma

From what we hear from our folks on the ground, and from the fact that 2 Democrat incumbents who should be walking away in victory, are both financially challenged, one it appears has been underwriting his entire campaign, while the other is lagging the political newcomer challenging her for her seat.  Onward baby!From NewsOK:

Before the last-minute loans, Lerblance had raised $329,816 and Sherrill had raised $255,954 in the Senate District 7 race, which covers Haskell, Latimer and Pittsburg counties and part of Sequoyah County. Sherrill since has reported receiving $27,750, putting his total at $283,704.

In another Senate race, Republican challenger Dan Newberry reported receiving $42,000 in last-minute contributions, which put him slightly ahead of the amount raised so far by Sen. Nancy Riley, D-Tulsa.

Newberry, of Tulsa, now has raised $386,660 in the District 37 race. Riley reported receiving $8,000 in last-minute donations, putting her at $385,206.
