The Associated Press reports that Washington, DC based Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee produced and paid for this controversial ad. You can see the ad with the DLCC’s disclaimer here. The seemingly same ad can also be seen on YouTube with the “paid for by” disclaimer indicating that labor unions, specifically AFSCME, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, produced and paid for the spot. Now what’s it going to be boys – was the TV spot supporting Democrat Allison Copening paid for by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, or was the TV spot supporting Democrat Allison Copening paid for by labor unions? What’s it going to be? It can’t rightly be both can it? This is kind of like walking in to rob a bank and telling the customers to freeze and get down on the ground isn’t it? What’s it going to be?
