From Providence Business News:
At the behest of attorneys general across the country, the online classified advertisement service Craigslist agreed last week to put stricter rules in place for people who post ads for “erotic services” on the site.
The agreement between Craigslist and 43 attorneys general, including Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick Lynch, requires that anyone who posts an erotic services ad must provide a working phone number and pay a fee using a credit card. Craigslist said it will provide the information to law enforcement if a subpoena is issued.
