Surely Maine Democrats can find someone there who is both a lawyer and a non-legislator. How sad is that for a such a fine state, that the number one requirement to be the state’s top lawyer is having been a Democrat legislator. You have the chance to bring change to Maine – heck based on the Presidential results – that’s exactly what Maine voters want – hope and change! From the Morning Sentinel:
The three Democratic lawyers who want to be Maine’s next attorney general tried to persuade legislators Wednesday they are best equipped to take over the position.
In a debate hosted by AARP Maine and the League of Women Voters of Maine, Rep. John Brautigam of Falmouth, Rep. Sean Faircloth of Bangor and Rep. Janet Mills of Farmington talked about their experience and priorities for the job.
All three are Democratic legislators. Only Mills ran for re-election last week; she was elected to serve in the Maine House of Representatives.
