California Attorney General Jerry Brown should respond to a series of lawsuits against Proposition 8 within the next few days, the state’s highest court says.
The California Supreme Court has requested that Brown take action regarding the lawsuits by Monday, the San Francisco Chronicle said Friday.
The day after the proposition earned 52 percent of California voters’ support, two groups filed lawsuits in opposition of the initiative, which bans same-sex mariage.
