From KTUU.com:
The 10 Democrats and three Republicans in the coalition chose Kodiak Republican Gary Stevens to serve as Senate president.
Stevens says the first order of business will be to build a better rapport with Gov. Sarah Palin.
“I think these last two years there’s been sort of a lack of face-to-face time with the governor,” Stevens said. “I don’t know why that occurred, but personally I think it’s extremely important that we attempt to develop that relationship.”
Also in leadership positions are Democrat Johnny Ellis, who remains majority leader and Republican Charlie Huggins assumes the role of Rules chairman.
