Up for the plumb oddest political news of the week. What’s more, we hear that candidate LaCombe works for a competitor of Chotchkie’s. From the New Dominion Project:
John LaCombe received the Democratic nod for the 81st District special election to be held on January 6 to replace Terri Suit after she resigned to become a lobbyist. Except, as previously noted, his website has the peculiar habit of referring to him as a “d”emocrat, whatever that means. LaCombe has an uphill fight in the staunchly Republican 81st–to put this in perspective, John McCain carried the district by a full 16 points–so he clearly has a bit of political moxie. However, why Democrats would put forth a candidate in a special election who barely even identifies himself as such is beyond me.
