Why is Brian Moran calling this political play so early? Because he fears this man will beat him on Primary Day if he doesn’t. From WTOP.com:
Republicans and Democrats in Alexandria have until Wednesday to choose their candidates for next month’s special election for the seat in the House of Delegates vacated by Democrat Brian Moran.
He resigned Friday to concentrate on his campaign for governor. The election to fill his seat is Jan. 13.
Both parties are holding elections Tuesday evening to choose their nominees. The voting will take place from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Ramsay Recreation Center.
