From the Press-Register:
Alabama Attorney General Troy King promised Wednesday to “crack down on the scourge of illegal gambling” by imposing strict penalties against owners and profiteers of illegal outfits.
King told local law enforcement agents at the Mobile police headquarters that at least one bill from his 2009 crime legislation package would help officers enforce and penalize illegal gambling.
King said he tried to push similar legislation three sessions ago but was unsuccessful.
