Partisan Posturing On Taxes in Indy

Whatever you do, don’t you dare let voters have a say on how much money you can take from them.  That would be ludicrous.  From nwi.com:

The Indiana General Assembly kicked off the four-month legislative session Wednesday with partisan posturing over state spending and the fate of property tax caps approved a year ago.

Before either chamber even had gaveled in, Republicans accused Democratic House Speaker Pat Bauer of holding hostage a measure that would set up a 2010 referendum allowing voters to decide whether to cement the tax caps into the Indiana Constitution.
