From Nashville Business Journal:
A united Republican caucus in the General Assembly today elected a new GOP slate of state officers.
Tre Hargett was elected secretary of state 70-61 over Democrat Riley Darnell; Justin Wilson was elected comptroller 69-62 over Democrat John Morgan; and David Lillard was elected treasurer 69-62 over Democrat Dale Sims.
The Republican unity comes two days after Republican Kent Williams broke rank and outraged many of his party by voting for himself as speaker of the House.
