Gov. Jan Brewer said Friday she’s uncomfortable with the fact that the state’s photo radar cameras, instituted by her predecessor, are recording video of everyone driving past them.
And it’s a revelation she was just as shocked by as the general public, Brewer said.
The issue was raised Thursday during a meeting of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which voted to advance a bill to ban the cameras, designed to catch speeders. The program was a pet project of former Gov. Janet Napolitano, who resigned Tuesday.
