After his swearing-in, Patrick Quinn walked into his capital office on Thursday night amid cheers as the 41st governor of Illinois.
“The ordeal is over. The citizens of Illinois can be extremely proud of our elected representatives,” said Gov. Quinn.
Son Michael held the Bible during the ceremony which also was attended by the governor’s mother. All of the state’s constitutional officers were there, vowing to support Quinn’s promise to end Illinois government corruption.
