Illinois Legislature Gets Fresh Start; Failed Bills Get Another Look

Whoa daddy – looks like trying to do anything that’s not 100% in the public interest might need to be called pulling a Blagojevich.  Let the kicking of the recently deceased equine commence.  From the Herald News:

Continuing to scrub away at government is next on the list for lawmakers relieved to finally have former Gov. Rod Blagojevich out of the way.

Local legislators hope to advance what they say is the state’s cleanup effort by posting expenditures online, reforming campaign finance laws and making it possible for voters to recall elected officials on all levels.

Reviving the recall amendment tops the lineup, says state Sen. Kirk Dillard, R-Hinsdale.
