Citing newly revealed information that 90,000 sex offenders have been removed from the MySpace social networking site, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott on Wednesday called for tougher laws to keep predators from surfing the Internet to find victims.
Abbott said the information about MySpace came from a subpoena issued by Connecticut authorities and will be used by Texas authorities to determine whether parolees and other registered sex offenders are using the Internet when they should not be.
