On a day when legislators started picking over Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s budget, the administration had a different priority for its chief legislative lobbyist:
Push the nomination of Linda E. McMahon, the chief executive officer and occasional performer at World Wrestling Entertainment of Stamford, for the State Board of Education.
McMahon, 60, faced sharp questions at a confirmation hearing Thursday about steroid use by her wrestlers and the sexual themes of the WWE’s televised melodramas.
