Supporters encourage the city of Huntsville to prevent something like this from happening again.
I asked Alabama Attorney General Troy King if he has any plans in place regarding repeat offenders.
King responded, “What we need aren’t more offender treatment programs; what we need is more prison space. When the state of Alabama is cutting deals to keep people out of prison, when the state of Alabama is parolling people who are dangerous criminals from prison because our prisons are full, the answer is not that we need more social programs for offenders. The answer is we need more prisons.”
